Need a guide as part of a retreat or event? The serenity of the ancient woodland, far-reaching views, thinking about how our ancestors lived and just spending time ‘just being’ in nature can soothe the body and relax the mind. A guided walk is a fantastic way to facilitate bonding with your team members, give them the chance to get to know one another outside of the office and reconnect with nature.
I get to know your team from the start to find out what their expectations, trepidations and passions are so I can include something along the way for everyone in the group. I can also teach some basic navigation skills to encourage team building.
Full Day (8hr): From £200
Half Day (4hr): From £120
- Delve into the Bronze age at Merrivale Antiquities and admire stone circles, stone rows, menhirs and kistvaens (burial chambers)
- Climb up to Kings Tor, and after enjoying the views from the top, head to Swell Tor Quarry to discuss the 'leftovers' from the quarry's life.
- Head over to Foggintor Quarry and clamber into the picturesque remains.
- Head back to the car park.

- Walk to Black Tor to have lunch by the waterfall and remains of the Blowing House
- Head over to Foggintor Quarry and clamber into the picturesque remains of one of Dartmoor's swimming spots. Discover its history and how it's used today by the MOD.
- Admire the picturesque ruins surrounding Foggintor Quarry before heading back to the car park.
